It can be easy to forget something minor that I wanted to bring, and it can be a big disappointment if I forget something important I needed to bring, so I make a list. I was in the produce section saying yes to every fruit and vegetable my children asked to get, when I saw it - the checkout counter. With the end in sight, I hit my second wind. It came just in time to unpack, scan, and then repack everything back into the cart. Despite the dreaded work of checking out, I had hope. My tiresome trip with the three littles was about to be done! Not quite. The joke was on me. After double checking my list, I realized there were a few items I had missed and I now needed to walk back to the other side of the store to get them. Nope.  Do you have trouble ridding your home of things? Yes I said it, things . It can be hard to think about your stuff being anywhere but exactly where it is. The secret is to think positive. Imagine what you would love your home to truly be, and work towards that. There are five simple questions to be addressed when playing the organizing game, will you be able to answer honestly? You know that super cute sweater that you look at every winter and then decide against wearing? Yeah, I know, I have that sweater too because I never wear it. As well as 3 other ones, two pairs of jeans that I can't fit into, and at least 10 scarves that are nowhere near fashionable. I can't remember the last time I wore any of it. So if you and I have this in common, then I think you just started your first donate pile. Put any items whether it be clothing, home decor, or toys here. Need a cheap and easy solution to organize your home? Tension rods are the answer. They can be used as product dividers or even hangers for jewelry, cleaning products, and clothes. The options of what to do with a tension rod are endless and can also be used as a design element in your home too - how awesome! Tension rods can be utilized in cabinets and drawers or on shelves, horizontally or vertically. Try hanging them vertically on a shelf. You can now easily divide cooking sheets, cutting boards, or big platters. When using tension rods as horizontal dividers, put them in your plastic container drawer. Put two rods close together so that container lids will be tucked nice and neatly in between them. No more searching for lids! Next, let's head under your kitchen sink. I know, the dreaded under the sink space. This can be a tricky spot to tackle, but tension rods can add a quick fix. Laundry is my favorite chore. Now I know what you're thinking, "Is she crazy?" But the laundry room is my favorite space in my home and that's not by chance, I set it up that way! Here are a few things to consider when beginning an organizing extravaganza in your laundry room: make sure you can see the wash products that you have, your washer/dryer are in an area that is accessible to you, and add special touches to make it feel like home. Decanting should be a sport. In fact, yes it definitely is a sport what am I saying? I like to decant powders such as borax or washing powder in tall glass jars with lids, and liquids such as detergent or bleach in glass dispensers with a spout. Keep them on a shelf above your washer and dryer for quick and easy access. You will easily know exactly when you need to re-fill! Before our laundry room renovation started, the room was a mess.
